The Richmond Chapter of the APA will be having a virtual chapter meeting on Wednesday, February 24th, 2022 from 10:30am until 1:30pm.  We have applied with APA National for 2.5 RCHs for this meeting.  This meeting will use the Zoom platform.  An email will be sent to all registrants with the meeting information no later than 4pm the day prior to the meeting (February 23rd).  The cost for Members is $50.00.  The cost for Guests is $70.00.

We are continuing to support Safe Harbor, located in Henrico County. Safe Harbor collaborates with community partners to serve the Greater Richmond region. Safe Harbor was founded in 1998 when representatives of Bon Secours Richmond Health System, Commonwealth Catholic Charities, Henrico County, The Salvation Army, Virginia Commonwealth University Sexual Assault Program, and the YWCA of Richmond met to address the shortage of shelter beds and support services in Henrico County for domestic violence victims. Safe Harbor opened their doors in April 2000 as an emergency shelter to provide safe housing for victims of domestic violence in imminent danger. Often, when a person is abused, financial resources are controlled by the abuser, cutting the victim off from resources to escape. Taking away some of these financial barriers allows for victims to secure the services they need. Here is where YOU can make a difference.
